Marley
Meet Marley, August's featured pup. Fourteen years young and a terrier of some sort, though her mom will tell you the official breed is Hot Mess. She came home at six weeks old, after her mom's son Jake found her through a friend who had picked her up off a street out in Fishhawk. Fifty dollars later, she was family.
Fourteen years on, Marley is the Belle of the Ball. She strolls the island a few times a day, rides the golf cart like she owns it, and swims for hours in any pool or bay she can find. Nobody has the heart to tell her that her breed does not swim. She greets everyone in case a treat is involved, and she knows exactly which counter hands them out like Halloween.
